Wi-Fi controller configuration

Specifications and basic information of the Wi-Fi module

Minimum Smartphone requirements:

Downloading and installing the app

For Android

Method 1: Click the link below, download and install the app:

Method 2: Open the Play Store app on your phone and search for the Smart Life- app
Smart Home, then download and install it.

Method 2: Open the AppStore on your phone and search for the SmartLife- app
SmartHome, then download and install the app.

Note
During installation, you must enable storage/location/camera permissions for this app. Otherwise, problems may occur during operation.

Application activation

1. The first time you use it, the app will require activation.
2. If you do not have an account, select Register.
3. Read and approve the Privacy Policy and the Service Agreement.
4. Select your country.
5. Enter the email that will be assigned to the account created.
6. Press the “Get verification code” button.
7. Enter the code you have received.
8. Set a password (6÷20 characters) containing letters and characters and select the “Done” button.
9. Select the “Go to App” button

Adding a device

Wi-Fi mode (default)
1. Switch on the power of the indoor unit.
2. Select “Split Air Conditioner” from the Add manually tab.
3. Enter the Wi-Fi password, which is the same as the password of the connected unit, then select “Next”.
4. Follow the comments on the next screen to reset the Wi-Fi module – press the Display button on the unit’s remote control 6 x within 8 seconds. The unit should beep twice and then select “Select left circle to confirm CF is blinking” and select “Next”.
5. By selecting in the top right corner we can edit the device information.

AP mode
1. Switch on the power of the indoor unit.
2. Select “Split Air Conditioner” from the Add manually tab.
3. Enter the Wi-Fi password, which is the same as the password of the connected unit, and select “Next”.
4. Select in the top right corner and select “AP Mode”.
5. Follow the comments on the next screen, to reset the Wi-Fi module press the Display button on the device’s remote control 6 x within 8 seconds. The unit should beep twice then select “Select left circle to confirm AP is blinking” and select “Next”.
6. In the network selection window select “SmartLife-XXXX” and select “Next”.
You can see the percentage of the connection process, at the same time “PP”, “SA”, “AP” light up consecutively on the internal display. “PP” stands for “Searching for a router”. “SA” stands for “connected to router” “AP” stands for “connected to server”

Air conditioner control

1. The appliance control screen will appear automatically when an appliance is added. The appliance control screen will appear manually when you touch the appliance name on the home screen.

Setting the mode

1. Select “Mode” to display the Mode setting.
2. Select one of the modes: Cooling/Heating/Drying/Fan/Auto.

Fan speed setting

1. Select “Wind speed” to display the Fan settings.
2. Select one of the 8 fan speeds: Strong/High/Mid-High/Medium speed/ Mead low/ Low speed/ mute/Auto

Blind movement setting

1. Select “Air Swing” to choose the direction of movement of the blinds.
2. Select in which direction you want the blinds to move: “Horizontal” for vertical/left-right mode or “Vertical” for horizontal/up-down mode. Selecting a mode will highlight the icon for that mode.

Eco mode

1. Select “Eco” to put the device into energy-saving mode.

Sleep mode

1. Select “Sleep” to choose the appropriate mode.
2. Select the appropriate mode: Standard/ The Aged/ Child

Setting the Schedule

1. Select “Timer” to set the schedule.
2. Select “Add Timer” to add a new/next on/off process.
3. Set the schedule parameters for the switch-on option and select Power -> ON.
4. Set the schedule parameters for the off option and select Power -> OFF.

More options

1. Select ‘More’ to select additional control options.
2. Select “Display” to enable/disable the display on the device panel.
3. Select “Buzzer” to enable/disable the buzzer for application operation.
4. Select “Anti-Mildew” to enable/disable the Anti-Mildew mode to prevent the air conditioner from becoming mouldy/mildew forming. When the unit is switched off, it will start dehumidification, reduce residual humidity and prevent mould, and automatically switch off when the function is complete.
5. Select “Health” to enable/disable the health function and activates the anti-bacterial ioniser function. This function is only available on models with an ioniser generator.

Reservation mode

1. Select “Reservation” to activate a mode that allows you to set the time, repeat day, temperature, mode, fan speed, airflow according to your needs at the time.
2. Select the operating parameters to be activated during the period and select Save.
3. Select Turn On to activate the function.

Device diagnostics

1. Select “Self-diagnostic” to start the diagnostic mode.
2. When the diagnostic is complete (100%), a message will appear about the current status of the device. If there are no problems, the message will appear: “Device is normal”.
